Working the GrassRoots

As a medical student in my MBBS i often wondered if my life would be just stuck in between patients practice and money. In this vicious cycle where there is nothing more to offer in this life, i wanted my education to be bigger than just my profession. I decided i wanted to be a pediatrician so that i can focus on the children who would be our future generation. Working at the grassroot level and mitigating the problems where it originates I felt is the best way I could do my bit to uplift the society.

With the modern technologies and growing healthcare, the Children of today weren’t a victim of famines,epidemics or illiteracy but malnourishment, depression and psyochogical disturbance.

I visited a small school near Delhi which officially had 250 students but attendance wouldn’t cross 50. The school owned by Mr. Deepak Malik was an aquaintance, so i asked him to set up a day for free health camp for the children who attend.

So a health camp was organized by Khwahish Charitable Trust on 10th march 2018 in Y.G. Convent school in Bahadurgarh Haryana where medical examination of students from junior classes was done and a parents counselling session was conducted – with Dr. Draksha
